Anusmaran 2008 (Delhi)
This time Anusmaran was nothing much to write about. As far as I know, there were only some 25 people by the time the drinks started flowing (and there were not too any additions after that). The high entry fee, so-so choice of location combined with heavy downpour in the capital city made it a small get-together. Looks like the new Director is a footage king and he ensured that a video of him in different poses and dresses was played. The usual guys -Gika (& Samah), Gullu, Mayank (& family), Nishant, Presi, Uncle (& Garima), Vishesh, Vivek Gupta (& family) from 2004 batch turned up. Alam was conspicuous by his absence given that he comes for every social event. All in all it appeared that probably 2004 batch had maximum attendance amongst all batches!

The event left a lot to be desired in terms of the overall arrangement, information about the event, reaching the place, the food, the DJ, the ambience, everything... Very shoddy show by the Alumni Committee. Hope the Alum Comm on campus reads this and picks up some learning from the wonderful Anusmarans we've had in the past in Delhi- at Hyatt, Intercon, etc.. I heard remotely the Mumbai event was equally as bad!! Does anyone know what happened?
Hmm... I could not attend Anusmaran since I was travelling.. but from what I hear, I hardly missed anything :).. Ketya and Abhijit Mutha had been to the Mumbai event, they waited outside till 8.30 only to see only a few ppl around.. they left after that and were saved from shelling out 1200 bucks...
BTW Guys instead of Anusmaran next time, why don't we all celebrate a 5 year reunion on campus with a big bash ???? Wot say ?

After great difficulties I could contact the organizer here. $100 charge and venue couldn't have been more formal- the Indian Consulate.
Most of the our batchmates had no clue of the event. I don't know of anyone yet who was there for the NY meet.
