You might end up getting shot, or clicked, in various stages of partying... G&V (Gayatri and Vishesh) were in New york for a week, and we dragged them onto our bacchhanalian nights in New york's dive bars - People in attendance - G&V, Pallo & Samcho, Ranga & Purni, Subbu & hema, vikrant & his iPhone, and a nameless bangalore guy who dropped us home -

Baby Girl for Geetika and Mahindru

A few days back got a SMS from Mahindru ... Said that he and Geetika had become parents ... they had a baby girl ... am waiting to hear more ... name ... first photos ... etc etc

Congratulations to Geetika , Mahindru and lots of love to the little new member of the IIMB Class of 2004 family.

Sound's good - New Music Room on Campus

News for anthony, cheetah, usha, akg and all music fans from our batch.
This was caught flashing on the (largely defunct) alumni website -

After a long wait, the endeavor to completely revamp the music facilities on campus has been successfully completed. IIM Bangalore now has a soundproofed music room (in L base) completely equipped with state of the art musical instruments. No more dilapidated instruments and ad-hoc practice venues, we now boast the best music facilities across all the IIM’s in the country. This should give a huge fillip to the immense musical talent that we have on campus.

Its raining brides and grooms ... this time its Indrani and Imran Jafer (2003 batch) all ready to say "kubool hai"... This is what Indrani's mail read -

Hi!

I'd like to invite you for my wedding with Imran Jafar to be
soleumnized on the 14th of December 2007. The wedding ceremony will
take place in Guwahati, Assam, my home town. There will be a reception
party on the 15th of Dec in Guwahati and another on the 18th of Dec in
Hyderabad from Imran's side. Please find the details attached.

It will be great of you could come. Please do let me know so that I
can make your stay arrangements accordingly.

Ever wondered what brought you into IIMB? This might be close to the criterion used in our times -

"...
The results of X and XII standard of a candidate accounts for 25 per cent of the score, while the bachelor’s degree accounts for 15 per cent. Maximum weightage of 35 per cent is given to group discussion, group discussion summary and personal interview, while the remaining 5 per cent is for work experience and whether the candidate has taken any other professional course like accountancy.

To be called for the interview round, a candidate should be in the top 15 per cent scorers in each section of the CAT. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and disabled applicants need to be in the top 50 per cent in the logic and quantitative sections and top 45 per cent in verbal section.
